Overview
BriefMint is designed to work 100% offline. Your recordings, notes, and exported files are stored only on your device unless you choose to share or back them up via Apple services. We do not run servers, collect analytics, or track you.
Data we store
- Briefs & notes: Stored locally on your device.
- Audio recordings (if you record): Stored locally.
- Tags, actions, owners/due dates, settings: Stored locally.
- Exports: PDFs/text files you choose to create—saved where you pick (e.g., Files “On My iPhone”).
We do not collect: personal identifiers, usage analytics, advertising IDs, or location.
Processing & permissions
- Microphone: To record meetings. Permission can be changed anytime in iOS Settings.
- Speech/Transcription (if used): Performed on-device using Apple frameworks when available. No audio is sent to us.
- Files/Photos (optional): Only when you export or attach a logo/header; your selections remain on device unless you share them.
Backups & syncing
If you enable iCloud Backup or make an encrypted computer backup, Apple’s systems may store an encrypted copy of your local data. BriefMint does not control Apple services.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data. Data leaves your device only when you choose to export or share a file.
Data retention & deletion
All data resides on your device until you delete it. Deleting the app removes local data. For a full reset: export anything you need first, then delete the app.
Children’s privacy
BriefMint is intended for general/business use and not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
Security
Your data benefits from the security of your device (passcode, Face/Touch ID). Consider enabling iOS device encryption and a strong passcode.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
