What is stored on your device (local-only)
CalmSpeak stores app content you create or generate only on your iPhone, such as:
- Caregiver configuration (e.g., grid size, voice settings, visible categories)
- Communication usage history/logs (tile taps / sentences)
- Mood check-ins and history
- Schedules and completion status
- Emergency contact details
- Backups you choose to export
Exports, backups, and sharing (you control this)
CalmSpeak includes features like PDF export and backup/restore. These actions are initiated by you. Once you export/share a file (e.g., via email, AirDrop, Files), it is handled by the destination app/service you choose.
Notifications
If you enable optional reminders (e.g., mood prompts), notifications are generated locally on your device.
Children’s privacy
CalmSpeak is designed for users who may be children or individuals with communication needs. We do not collect personal information. Caregivers should supervise device sharing and exports.
Security
We aim to keep sensitive settings protected (for example, a caregiver PIN) and keep data local to the device.
