ClaimCue Support

Welcome to ClaimCue support. ClaimCue is a private, on-device app for tracking your receipts, warranties, and return deadlines. This page answers common questions and explains how to get help.

Contact us

The fastest way to reach us is by email:

hello@zerocloudapps.com

When emailing, it helps to include:

  • Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About).
  • The ClaimCue version (open ClaimCue → Settings, the version is shown at the bottom).
  • A short description of what happened and what you expected.

We do not have access to your data — ClaimCue stores everything locally on your device — so please don’t send screenshots that contain receipts, serial numbers, or other details you’d rather keep private.

Getting started
  1. Add an item — Tap Add and fill in the details you have (name, store, price, dates). Only a name is required; everything else is optional.
  2. Snap Receipt — Use Snap Receipt on the Home screen to quickly capture a receipt with your camera (or pick one from your photo library) and save it as a draft to finish later.
  3. Set reminders — Turn on warranty and/or return reminders on an item so ClaimCue can alert you before the date arrives.
  4. Back up — From Settings, create a backup file so you have your own copy of your records and photos.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use ClaimCue?

No. ClaimCue has no sign-up and no login. Everything works offline and stays on your device.

Where is my data stored? Is it in the cloud?

All of your records and photos are stored locally on your iPhone. ClaimCue has no servers and does not upload your data. If you use iCloud Backup, your device backups are handled by Apple, not by ClaimCue.

How do reminders work?

When you enable a reminder for an item, ClaimCue schedules a local notification on your device that fires at 9:00 AM, a set number of days before the warranty or return date. You can change how many days of lead time you get in Settings. iOS limits how many reminders can be scheduled at once, so ClaimCue automatically keeps the soonest upcoming reminders scheduled and refreshes them as dates pass.

I’m not getting notifications. What should I check?
  • Make sure notifications are allowed: iOS Settings → ClaimCue → Notifications.
  • Make sure the reminder toggle is turned on for that specific item.
  • Check that the warranty/return date is in the future — past dates aren’t reminded about.
  • Check that Focus modes or Do Not Disturb aren’t silencing alerts.

Reminders are a convenience and may be delayed or missed. Always confirm important dates and official policies yourself.

How do I add a receipt or product photo?

When adding or editing an item, tap the photo area to take a new photo with the camera or choose one from your photo library. Photos are compressed and stored privately on your device. You can grant or revoke camera and photo access anytime in iOS Settings → ClaimCue.

How do I back up my data?

Open Settings → Backup & Restore and create a backup. ClaimCue produces a single .claimcue file containing your records and photos. Save it somewhere safe (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, email, etc.) using the share sheet. Keep your own copies of important backups — ClaimCue cannot recover data that was never backed up.

How do I restore a backup?

In Settings → Backup & Restore, choose to restore and select a .claimcue file. You can:

  • Merge — add items from the backup without overwriting what’s already on your device.
  • Replace — erase current data and restore everything from the backup.

ClaimCue validates the whole backup file before making any changes.

Can I export my data to a spreadsheet or PDF?

Yes. ClaimCue can export a CSV file of your item details (no photos) for use in spreadsheets, and PDF reports (single item, full inventory, warranty, or returns). Exports are saved or shared only to the destination you choose.

Can I move my data to a new iPhone?

Yes. Create a backup on your old device, transfer the .claimcue file to your new device (AirDrop, iCloud Drive, email, etc.), and restore it in ClaimCue. A full iOS device transfer or iCloud restore will also carry ClaimCue’s data across.

What currency does ClaimCue use?

ClaimCue picks a default display currency from your device region and lets you change it in Settings. Changing the display currency does not convert the numbers you’ve already entered — it only changes the currency symbol shown.

I deleted an item by mistake. Can I get it back?

If the item was in a backup you made earlier, restore that backup (using Merge to avoid overwriting other items). If it was never backed up, it cannot be recovered.

Does ClaimCue guarantee my warranty, return, or insurance claims?

No. ClaimCue is an organisation and reminder tool only. It does not guarantee any warranty, return, refund, repair, or insurance outcome, and does not provide legal, tax, insurance, or consumer-rights advice. Always check official store policies, warranty terms, insurer requirements, and applicable laws.

How do I delete all my data?

Deleting individual items removes them from the app. To remove everything, you can delete and reinstall the app — note that this also deletes anything you have not separately backed up.

Privacy

ClaimCue collects no personal data and sends nothing to any server. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
